Pesarattu and Peanut Chutney

I eat it for breakfast at least once a week.

Ingredients

Green Gram (mung beans) Chana dal (split brown chickpeas) Salt
Water Rice Ginger
Peanut Red chilies

 

Instructions

  • To prepare the pesarattu soak the green gram and chana dal overnight in water and grind it into a semi-solid paste by adding rice to it in the morning. Add water to attain the required consistency and add salt, cut green chilies, ginger for some balance in the taste.
  • Cook this in a thin layer on a hot pan to make a flatbread.
  • For the peanut chutney, grind some roasted peanuts, red chilies.
