Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

I make this bread frequently to have on hand for company, and to bring wrapped in a bow as a gift when visiting friends for dinner, or when an appropriate occasion arises.

Ingredients

1 cup sugar ½ cup butter 2 eggs
2 cups flour 3 large or 4 small ripe bananas 1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp vanilla 1 cup mini morsel chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Cream the butter and sugar.
  • Add eggs and beat.
  • Add ripe, mashed bananas.
  • Add vanilla. Add sifted dry ingredients.
  • Add chocolate chips.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour – use toothpick to test. It should come out clean.
  • Makes one loaf. Smaller baking loaf pans can be used to make smaller loaves and may require less time time for cooking
